XBMC 12.2 Beta
Hey,

I was wondering if (I suppose specifically Sam) would be releasing the XBMC 12.2 BETA that's currently in the wild. I experience a lot of crash/restart problems on 12.1 and I would like to post bug reports/etc etc to the developers in order to get them fixed.

However there are no RPi builds available, the current set of patches do not work, and we are pretty much left hanging right about now.

I need to have these problems resolved as currently I use my RPi's running Raspbmc virtually 100% of the time. This instability isn't helping me with the WAF and to be frank, it's making me want to throw the damn thing out the window

EDIT: 12.1 also deletes the xbmc.log upon restart after crashing, I can't submit a log file it deletes 5secs after crashing

RE: XBMC 12.2 Beta
I don't know how this happened but CEC for Panasonic viera doesn't work as well as it did for 12.1. Play, stop, pause, ff etc (all player CEC commands0 don't work anymore!

RE: XBMC 12.2 Beta
Not a general problem with Viera it seems as it works perfectly well for me (Viera ST50).

It has happened a couple of times though but rebooting both TV and RasPi has worked.
As well as restarting CEC in Viera Tools (make sure RasPi is registered as player, not recorder).

However, I do run into problems with CEC if I have more things connected to the TV (computer i.e) where RasPi for some reason registered as recorder and the additional buttons don´t work.

RE: XBMC 12.2 Beta
Have you tried one of the latest v13 nightlies to see if it fixes your crashes?

RE: XBMC 12.2 Beta
I've ha issues with CEC on my Panasonic V10 until I realised the Pi was being registered as recorder and not player.

I unplugged and plugged the Pi about 4 times and the 5th time it registered as player. Read the manual but it seems it automatically decides how to label what is plugged in.

RAM: 512
Pwr: HTC TC A250 5V/1A
Hub: Belkin 4 port
Conn: Wired (EOP)
Install: USB
SW: October update
Storage: WD MyBook 1TB, SMB
OC: SUPER
Cfg: gpu_mem_512=256 hdmi_edid_file=1 hdmi_force_hotplug=1
