Raspbmc and VLC

I want to set up a multiroom system on the Raspberry Pi's based on that idea:

Can anyone of you tell me if that would be able with the Raspbmc?
The point is i need VLC to have the sync mechanism behind xmbc, not sure if I'm able to do that on the Pi's

RE: Raspbmc and VLC
I've not played about much with newer versions but VLC was inherently bad at playing HD content anyway and on lower spec systems would drop frames at stutter alot, with the Pi being what it is this could be a big issue.

After skim reading through what you're trying to do it seems possible, although you would probably have much more luck if the Pi was not the Master and another comp was.

Quick way to find out is try it out, grab a spare SD card if you're worried about messing up your current setup.

Will probably test this myself once i have my wireless working with the Pi.
